Compatibility

From a technical point of view information stored in OpenATLAS is interoperable with nearly every common database format. It can be connected, integrated, imported or exported to a lot of database systems or file formats from MsAccess, Dbase, xml to simple text files and many more.

Concerning structure of the data, semantics and ontology OpenATLAS uses classes and properties from the CIDOC Conceptual Reference Model. This international standard for cultural heritage documentation ensures compatiblity to other projects, databases and information systems that also use this semantic framework.
